Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links may earn a commission. Here is exactly what that means, and what it does not.

The current state
Patches ’N Racks is not part of any affiliate programme. Every outbound link on the site is a plain link to the developer's own website. There are no tracking parameters, no redirects, no interstitial pages and no cookies set by this site.
If that changes
Commission from retailers such as plugin shops and music equipment dealers may be added later, because a directory of 116 entries costs money to maintain. If it is:
- Links that earn a commission will be labelled where they appear, not buried in a footer.
- They will carry
rel="sponsored"and open directly to the retailer, with no intermediate page. - Free tools will never be tracked. Links to free software stay direct, because there is nothing to earn and no reason to route you through anything.
- Commission will never affect which tools are listed, how they are ordered, or what the “our take” paragraph says.
What is never for sale
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Inclusion in the directory | Free, and not purchasable |
| Position or ordering | Editorial, never paid |
| Editorial notes | Independent |
| Descriptions and notes | Independent |
Your call
If you would rather not use a commission link, open the developer's site directly — every entry names the developer and links to its company page, so the manufacturer is always one click away. Nothing is gated.
