Ableton makes Live, a digital audio workstation built around a clip-based session view that later added a conventional arrangement timeline. It is widely used for electronic production and live performance, where clips can be launched and manipulated without a linear timeline.
The company also produces the Push controller range and publishes a substantial library of free learning material. Live is sold as a one-off licence with paid major-version upgrades, with Intro, Standard and Suite editions.
