Apple develops Logic Pro, the macOS-only digital audio workstation that grew out of Emagic’s Logic range after the 2002 acquisition. It is sold once through the App Store with no upgrade fees.
Because Logic is restricted to Apple hardware and the Mac App Store, it is the cheapest full-featured route into a DAW for anyone who already owns a Mac.
